SEIM – a trademark of the French company MGI COUTIER
The company’s origins date back to 1972 with the establishment of COUTIER SA, specialized in the production of plastic components. In 1981, MGI SA was founded as a commercial company with its own R&D division. MGI COUTIER was formed from the merger of the two companies in 1989, after which the focus shifted to the production of plastic components for original equipment in the automotive industry.
The international expansion of MGI COUTIER began in 1991 with the acquisition of several Spanish companies, followed by expansion into Turkey, Italy, and China.
In 1998, the company underwent a major reorganization and introduced the "CAP MONDE" structure to better meet customer needs and become more flexible and innovative.
At every function, location, and level in the production chain, MGI COUTIER follows a "zero defect" quality policy. To achieve this, the company has implemented a quality management system certified according to ISO TS 16949. This system defines processes for maintaining and improving quality, efficient use of resources, teamwork, application of appropriate tools to achieve target quality levels, as well as the development and maintenance of employee motivation and discipline.
